2011 – The Idea 💡

The concept of creating a regional society for sports medicine and arthroscopy was first discussed in November 2011 during a tribute to Dr. John Bartlett in Melbourne, Australia.

His fellows and colleagues from across ASEAN recognized the need for a dedicated society to foster collaboration, research, and education in the field.

2012 – Inaugural in Indonesia 🇮🇩

January 2012 (Jakarta, IHKS Meeting): Dr. Andre Pontoh (Indonesia) and Dr. Enrique “Rich” Pasion (Philippines) organized an informal introductory meeting.
